Happiness is not giddiness or some overly inflated sense of being.

About This Quote

I think most people understand the difference between happiness and giddiness or some overly inflated sense of being. Happiness is that good feeling that comes from knowing that you are doing what you love. Giddiness, on the other hand, is a clouded out or distorted sense of being. For example, your friend might have been having a great time at the party, but you didn’t realize it because you were too distracted by all the drinking and dancing to see what was happening.

I think the same thing about being happy. When we become so caught up in our own thoughts that we don’t realize what is happening around us, we have a tendency to not be as happy as we should be.
